The latest teaser for the Tabekko Doubutsu movie features a vibrant cast of beloved characters, including the iconic Lion-kun, alongside familiar friends from the packaging: Elephant-kun, Hippo-chan, Monkey-kun, Rabbit-chan, Cat-chan, Giraffe-chan, Crocodile-kun, and Chick-chan. Joining them is Pegasus-chan, an original character created specifically for the film. The teaser showcases a mix of laughter, tears, and wild adventures.
The Inspiration Behind the Film Koutarou Sudou, producer and planner at TBS Television, explained the vision behind the adaptation:
“In today’s world, where communication increasingly happens on social media, real-life connections have grown weaker. While reflecting on how people bond, I was reminded of the presence of ‘snacks’—a simple yet meaningful part of our lives. Snacks bring people together, and at the heart of shared moments lies something precious: smiles and companionship.
Through Tabekko Doubutsu, a globally cherished snack with timeless characters that have been adored across generations, we aim to convey a story of mutual understanding, growth, and the importance of friendship and joy. This is a tale for the modern age, where such values resonate deeply."
The movie promises to deliver a universal message of connection and positivity, wrapped in a story that will delight fans young and old alike.
