NewJeans and IVE have been awarded a national culture merit for their role in the promotion of Korean culture and arts.
The rookie groups were recognized with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation at the 14th Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards over the weekend.
IVE and NewJeans were among the 10 recipients of the culture minister commendations along with boy band The Boyz and music producer 250(이오공).

Seventeen has won the top prize at this year’s The Fact Music Awards.
The Fact Music Awards (TMA) is an annual music award hosted by online media outlet The Fact since 2018. This year’s awards were held at the Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon.
The Grand Prize went to Seventeen who broke BTS’ winning streak of five years from 2018 to 2022. Seventeen also won Artist of the Year with NewJeans, IVE, NMIXX, aespa, Treasure, ITZY, Ateez, Stray Kids, and trot singer Lim Young-woong.

While working as a specialist counselor for homicide survivors, he operates in the shadows as a dark hero with a hidden persona, delivering retribution to wrongdoers attempting to evade the law.
The theme song for this work was composed by Natsuki Kawashima as an original piece.
