This is a plastic model assembly kit for a high-performance, four-wheel-drive racer that’s fun to race.
The Cannon D Ball is a machine driven by the character Punkuro (Jimi Peki Ni) from the Mini 4WD manga “Hyper Dash! Yonkuro” by Hiroyuki Takei, serialized in Shogakukan’s “CoroCoro Aniki.”
It inherits features from the original Cannon Ball, such as the two-lamp headlights in the center of the nose and the four-outlet rear muffler, with a boldly redesigned body.
The sharp form with prominent edges on various parts of the body suggests high-speed racing.
The body is green. LED-style fender lights, carbon patterns, and the machine name logo are provided as metallic-style stickers.
The MA chassis body is gray, and the A parts such as the rollers, battery holder, and gear cover are made of red low-friction resin (POM) for an accent.
White large-diameter four-spoke wheels are fitted with slick tires.
★ MA Chassis pursuing drive efficiency
“MA” stands for Midship AERO.
The MA chassis combines the excellent features of the MS chassis, which has a midship layout with a double-shaft motor mounted in the center of the car body, and the AR chassis, designed with aerodynamics (AERO) in mind during racing.
Of course, racing know-how accumulated so far has been applied, adopting a 4:1 gear ratio, equipped with six low-friction resin rollers, and a rear skid bar as standard to thoroughly polish running performance.
Additionally, the adoption of a monocoque structure makes it easier to assemble and maintain, making it a chassis that can cater to a wide range of users, from beginners to veteran racers, and suitable for various race types, from small-scale street races to official competitions on large five-lane circuits.
