★ An aerodynamic body combining the imagery of a shark and a Formula car
This is a plastic model assembly kit for a high-performance four-wheel-drive racer that’s fun to race.
The fourth installment in the Mini 4WD REV series, which pursues aerodynamics from the body to the chassis, is the Shadow Shark.
It combines the shape of a shark swimming in the ocean with the form of an F1 machine, known as the pinnacle of motorsports.
The slim high nose and the shark fin (dorsal fin) behind the cockpit are distinctive features.
In addition to the reduced air resistance, it actively cools the internal mechanisms with running wind through the side pontoons, induction pods, and air intake under the nose, in addition to the streamlining effect of the front and rear wings.
Also, the car is set with matte silver-plated five-spoke wheels and low-height tires.
★ AR Chassis
The AR chassis not only pursues aerodynamics but also combines the essential elements for Mini 4WD racing, such as maintainability, rigidity, and expandability.
The running wind taken in from the body flows smoothly through the chassis, cooling the batteries and motor inside to prevent power loss due to heat.
The body and chassis air intakes are linked to produce a high cooling effect.
Moreover, the installation of low-friction resin plastic bearings reduces drive loss and achieves lightweight construction.
The under panel and diffuser can be easily removed without taking off the body.
In addition, a rear skid bar comes as standard equipment. When passing through slope sections and other inclined courses, the low-friction resin skid bar contacts the course surface.
This controls the machine’s posture and prevents course outs.
It comes with a super-fast 3.5:1 gear ratio.
