Nintendo has announced the release of “Alarmo,” a new alarm clock priced at 12,980 yen. Starting today, it will be available for purchase on My Nintendo (exclusive to NSO members). It will be released in Nintendo stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto tomorrow, and will be available at third-party retailers after mid-February 2025.
Alarmo utilizes motion sensor technology to respond to your movements, allowing you to silence the alarm simply by moving. It transforms waking up into a fun experience. The clock features 35 thematic scenes from five different games, including Super Mario Odyssey, Pikmin 4, Splatoon 3, Ring Fit Adventure, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Once connected to the internet, users can receive new themes for free in the future, such as those from Mario Kart 8 and Animal Crossing.
Users can also check their records to see how often they move during sleep, set hourly chimes based on their chosen game theme, and switch between the steady or gentle modes for the morning alarm. In steady mode, the alarm becomes progressively more intense the longer you stay in bed, while gentle mode provides a consistent intensity level. There’s also a button mode that gives a more traditional experience with a tactile “snooze” button. Additionally, you can use sleep sounds to relax with soothing music and sounds at your set bedtime.
