The idol group Momoiro Clover Z, also known as “Momoclo,” is set to host their annual New Year’s Eve live concert, “The 7th Momoiro Song Battle,” at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa Prefecture on December 31, 2023. The “Momoiro Song Battle” is a year-end singing festival where Momoclo members and various artists split into “Red Team” and “White Team” to compete in singing full-length songs.
This year’s theme, “Beyond Dignity,” reflects the desire to show a new level of class in a chaotic world, leading the way for the next generation. The event will feature a diverse lineup of performers, including renowned artists representing Japan and trending artists of the year, all gathering at the Yokohama Arena.
This year’s team division has Shiori Tamai and Reni Takagi in the “Red Team,” and Kanako Momota and Ayaka Sasaki in the “White Team,” with the first round of performers announced.
From the anime world, making their first appearances are voice actors Saori Hayami and Sogo Nakamura, along with the third-time participants “Uma Musume Pretty Derby,” and fifth-time participants from “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-” Nakano Ward Kotonoha Party. The musical “Touken Ranbu” features the Touken Danshi – Tsurumaru Kuninaga, Hyuga Masamune, Oodachi, Kobizen Tomomitsu, Daihannya Nagamitsu, and Heshikiri Hasebe – making their second appearance.
Hayami and Nakamura have also shared their enthusiasm for their first appearance.
