The special screening is part of the broader “Gintama 20th Anniversary Project,” aimed at celebrating two decades of the “Gintama” franchise. The project spans from the year 2023, which marks the manga’s 20th anniversary, up to 2026, when the anime series will also reach the milestone. A new main visual featuring the iconic character Toshiro Hijikata of the Shinsengumi has been released to promote this event.
In addition to the re-edited episodes, the special screening will also include exclusive bonus footage that fans won’t want to miss. Merchandise featuring newly illustrated artwork and special gifts for attendees are also in the pipeline.
