The CG animated film “Ultraman: The Rise” trailer released

“Ultraman: The Rise” offers a unique twist on the classic Ultraman saga. The film’s protagonist, baseball star Ken Sato, returns to Japan to take on the mantle of Ultraman, but finds himself unexpectedly regarded as a family member by the descendants of Ultraman’s arch-enemies, the monsters. Sato struggles to balance his responsibilities as a parent and as Ultraman, while also trying to mend his strained relationship with his father and facing off against the Monster Defense Force.

Directed by Shannon Tindle, with John Aoshima as co-director, the film’s script is penned by Tindle and Marc Haimes. Producers Tom Knott and Lisa Poole helm the production. The lead character’s Japanese voiceover will be performed by actor Yuki Yamada.
