Last year, I had the opportunity to visit the “POP MART Bubble Mart” flagship store that opened in Ximending, Taipei City. The store boasts a stunning Broadway-style theater concept in its exterior design, adding a touch of elegance and nostalgia.
Inside, on the third floor, lies the “MEGA Collection,” which is among the largest in Taiwan. This area displays a wide range of large dolls that were previously sold by POP MART, creating a delightful space for fans. Moreover, the store offers an impressive selection of over 1,000 figures, providing ample choices for collectors and enthusiasts.
Ximending is renowned not only as a shopping destination but also as a hub for Taiwan’s youth culture and latest trends. The district thrives with a dense concentration of fashion buildings, character goods stores, cinemas, game centers, and cafes, making it a bustling center of entertainment. The charm of the area is further highlighted in the evening when night market stalls emerge, presenting a contrasting atmosphere to the daytime.
