The 2.5D idol group StoPuri, known for their video streaming in various genres such as singing covers and gaming commentary, has debuted their first animated film, “StoPuri: The Origin of the Story—Strawberry School Festival!!!.” Alongside the release of the main visual and trailer, advanced movie tickets (Mubichike) will go on sale from June 7th. Pre-orders for the manga and novel adaptations of the movie, which serve as the original works, begin on June 3rd.
Formed in 2016 with leader Nanamori at the helm, StoPuri has garnered significant popularity through their diverse online activities, amassing over 7.97 billion views and more than 2.9 million subscribers on YouTube as of June 2, 2024.
The newly released main visual captures the StoPuri members joyously playing instruments under the warm sunlight, conveying a sense of hope and freshness. The accompanying tagline, “Because ‘thank you’ isn’t enough, we sing ‘thank you,'” hints at an emotional narrative, further raising anticipation for the movie’s storyline.
