“Look Back,” created by “Chainsaw Man” author Tatsuki Fujimoto, is a growth story of two fourth-grade students, Fujino and her truant classmate Kyomoto, through the medium of manga. The story follows their youth journey starting from when their four-panel manga is published in the school newspaper, depicting their lives as they progress through middle school and high school. One day, a life-shattering event occurs.
When it was published on “Shonen Jump+” on July 19, 2021, as a 143-page one-shot, it caused a significant stir with comments like “a genius” and “too shocking for words,” recording over 2.5 million views on the first day.
