To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the theatrical film “Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?”, a 4K ULTRA HD version, rescanned from the original master film, has been scheduled for screening in 40 cinemas nationwide from January 25, 2025. Prior to the release of the 4K remastered set on January 29, a limited first edition will be available for pre-sale at the screening venues.
The “40th Anniversary Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love 4K ULTRA HD ver.” celebrates this milestone by showcasing the rescanned 4K ULTRA HD version in 40 cinemas across the country. This comes ahead of the release of the “Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love 4K Remastered Set (Blu-ray),” which will also have a limited first edition pre-sale at the screening venues.
Additionally, the “Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love 4K Remastered Set (Blu-ray)【Special Limited Edition】” includes two versions of the main feature: the <1984 Theatrical Release Format> and the <2016 Complete Edition>. The set features a luxurious box with new artwork by Haruhiko Mikimoto and includes a special booklet with new interviews.
The director of the 4K remaster, Shoji Kawamori, commented, “Looking back, it was something that could only have been created at that time, in that place, at that age, and with those team members.
