ASUS Japan has launched pre-orders for its highly anticipated new model in the popular “ROG Ally” series of portable gaming devices, the “ROG Ally X.” This advanced model features a 1TB (PCI Express 4.0 x4) SSD storage and 24GB (LPDDR5X-7500) of high-speed, high-capacity memory. The battery capacity has also been doubled, enhancing the device’s performance for extensive gaming sessions. Pre-orders started today, with sales beginning on July 24, 2024.
The “ROG Ally X” has been redesigned based on feedback from users of the original “ROG Ally” series. It maintains the high performance of the AMD Ryzen™ Z1 Extreme processor and has improved thermal management due to a redesigned motherboard. Additionally, it includes an 80Wh battery, twice the capacity of the previous models (ROG Ally RC71L-Z1E512 / RC71L-Z1512), allowing for extended gameplay without sacrificing portability.
The “ROG Ally X” is set to launch on July 24, 2024, at a price of 139,800 yen (tax included), promising an enhanced gaming experience with double the battery capacity, cutting-edge AMD Ryzen technology, and substantial memory and storage upgrades.
