Gameplay begins with location scouting, as players can use both cars and boats to find the ideal spot to cast their lines. The game has been designed with online multiplayer functionality, allowing friends to fish together in real-time.
The game has received a review score of 6 out of 10 from IGN Japan, although it’s crucial to note that this rating is for the initial version of the game.
The frame rate for the various console versions has also been confirmed:
- Xbox Series X/PS5 Edition: 60 FPS, equipped with both Quality and Performance modes
- Xbox Series S/Xbox One/PS4 Edition: 30 FPS
Furthermore, the game supports cross-platform play. A free update has already been rolled out for the PC version to coincide with the console launch. This update includes a redesigned tutorial, a complete overhaul of the progression system, and improvements in haptic feedback and vibrations. New fish species and quality-of-life adjustments have also been introduced, making the game more enjoyable than before.
