On the third day during the TOP 6 matches, Punk faced intense battles against Momochi from Shinobism Gaming and the formidable Arab player Big Bird, securing his spot in the grand finals through the winners’ side.
In the grand final, Punk clashed against Big Bird, who had fought his way up from the losers’ side. The first set saw Big Bird resetting the bracket, pushing the match to a full set and full round. However, Punk clinched the victory with a calm and precise combo starting from a crouching medium kick.
With this win at Evo 2024, Punk has secured his spot in the upcoming ‘CAPCOM CUP 11’, to be held in 2025 at Ryogoku Kokugikan.
