Koei Tecmo has announced the upcoming release of the latest installment in the tactical action game series, Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Scheduled for release on January 17, 2025, the game will be available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam®. Pre-orders for the physical edition are now open, and the company has also released the first promotional trailer.
The game will be showcased with playable demos at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, held from September 26 to September 29 at the Makuhari Messe.

The newly released trailer showcases the game’s appeal, featuring an original protagonist’s perspective that weaves a narrative with deep bonds with legendary heroes of the Three Kingdoms. Players can immerse themselves in intensely realistic battlefields, engage in thrilling action with a variety of weapons, and face off against powerful warriors in battles where single combatants can turn the tide.
