The Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS2024) was held from September 26th to 29th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, recording the second highest attendance in its history. Spanning four days, with the first two dedicated to business attendees, the event welcomed 274,739 visitors, only surpassed by the record set in 2018 with 298,690 attendees.
The 2024 edition, themed “Pioneering Worlds with Games,” witnessed participation from a record 985 organizations from 44 countries and regions. The show’s final visitor count for 2023 was 243,238, marking a significant increase from the 261,076 attendees in 2019.
