Furthermore, if you own the Switch versions of these games and are a subscriber to “Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack,” you can enjoy the “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” at no additional cost. This edition allows you to carry over your save data from the Switch versions, and importantly, it now allows for two save data slots, so you can start a new adventure while keeping your current progress intact.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition enhances previously released Switch titles with new features such as improved graphics. In “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” and “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,” visuals are smoother thanks to increased resolution and frame rates, as well as HDR support. Additionally, loading times have been reduced, a second save data slot has been added, and compatibility with “ZELDA NOTES,” a partner app that will assist you in your Hyrule adventures, has been implemented. The Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled for release on June 5, 2025.
