In this game, the story unfolds from the perspective of a rescued cat that’s been brought into a new home, having been displaced by another cat that looks strikingly similar to itself. The game is slated for release on platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Mac.

Following the recently released and highly acclaimed “Stray”, this game also progresses from the perspective of a cat. At the heart of the narrative is a cat named “Dawn”. The story is deeply explored in the game, with players’ choices occasionally influencing the direction of the narrative. Spoonful of Wonder describes, “Dawn perceives himself as a wild cat and is always on the lookout for an opportunity to flee. However, his perspective changes after meeting Olive, an elderly woman deeply saddened by the loss of her beloved cat. A profound bond develops between the two, as they find solace in each other’s company. Yet, as Olive’s health deteriorates, another cat that mimics Dawn’s appearance emerges, and Dawn finds himself ousted from his place. As he roams the streets trying to find his way back home, one has to wonder: Will Olive recognize him when he returns? And, faced with two cats, which one will Olive choose? Or is it possible that Dawn was actually the imposter all along?”

Just like the original “Separate Ways,” the DLC will focus on Ada Wong, showcasing essential scenes not visible from Leon’s perspective. As per the preview, the Ada chapter will undergo some tweaks in the remastered version, but the overall content remains intact.

The Ada chapter in the remastered version not only has a richer narrative but also adopts real-time rendering, replacing the original’s CG animations and textual reports. Other characters like Luis and Wesker will also have more exposure in the story, providing players with a more in-depth backstory.

Ada, with her agile maneuvers, displays new combat skills beyond Leon’s signature moves, including the use of her iconic “grappling gun.” Moreover, the grappling gun isn’t just for combat – it assists Ada in reaching elevated positions, adding more strategic layers to combat.

In the previewed castle level, Ada uses her grappling gun to ascend platforms, defeating enemies from above. The grappling gun can also be used for close-quarter combat, offering players new tactical approaches.

All in all, the remastered Ada chapter isn’t merely an extra bonus content but a thorough exploration and reshaping of the original. As a paid DLC release, if it offers richer content or higher replayability, it would indeed be a blessing for the players.

The iconic Japanese manga “Fist of the North Star” marked its 40th anniversary on September 13th. To commemorate this significant milestone, three major projects have been announced: a new animated series, a nationwide art exhibition featuring new works by manga artist Tetsuo Hara, and the release of newly designed 18-volume comics.

“Fist of the North Star,” serialized from 1983 to 1988 in “Weekly Shōnen Jump,” is a creation by Buronson (writer) and Tetsuo Hara (illustrator). The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world after a nuclear war, focusing on Kenshiro, the successor of the martial art of Hokuto Shinken, as he bears the weight of love and sorrow, growing into a savior.

The new animated series, titled “Fist of the North Star – FIST OF THE NORTH STAR,” plans to faithfully adapt the original’s appeal with the latest animation technology, along with a new staff and cast. Furthermore, original creators Buronson and Tetsuo Hara are also expected to contribute comments. Details regarding the broadcasting and streaming platforms will be awaited in future announcements.

In addition, the largest-ever “Fist of the North Star 40th Anniversary Grand Art Exhibition: Reclaim the Love!!” is set to open on October 7th at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo. The exhibition will showcase 136 episodes, totaling around 3,000 pages, along with 400 selected color works from the time of serialization. From March 2024, the exhibition is also planned to tour Nagoya, Kobe, and Fukuoka.

Moreover, the newly designed first and second volumes of the comic were released simultaneously on September 13th. The first volume features a recommendation comment from Akira Toriyama, and the second volume includes a comment from Hirohiko Araki.
