A collaboration project between Nagano’s manga “Chiikawa” and the J.League for the 2024 season, titled “Chiikawa x J.League,” has been announced, involving all 20 J1 clubs.
The “Chiikawa x J.League” collaboration will feature original merchandise and special events. Today, May 22, 2024, marks the official release of the dark fantasy action-adventure game “Venture to the Vile,” accompanied by the debut of a celebratory launch trailer. Aniplex Inc., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo with chairman Atsuhiro Iwakami, has announced the release of “Venture to the Vile” on Steam®. A special promotional video commemorating the game’s release has also been made public.
Developed by the newly formed Studio Cut to Bits based in Montreal, Canada, “Venture to the Vile” is the studio’s inaugural venture. It uniquely blends 2D side-scrolling action with 3D layered elements to create a 2.5D experience reminiscent of Castlevania-like games. The story follows the protagonist who adventures through the mystical street “Lenibrook Avenue,” plagued by a nefarious entity known as “Bad Aether.” Players must defeat “Bad Aether,” absorb its powers, and thus save the local inhabitants and find the protagonist’s missing friend, Ella.

Marvelous has launched a pre-anniversary event today, May 13, in anticipation of the 4th anniversary of “Ikki Tousen Extra Burst,” which is available on iOS, Android, and PC. The service began on May 25, 2020, and the game will soon celebrate its fourth year.

The game “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Aim for the Strongest Squad Member!” currently available for Nintendo Switch, is set to release on PlayStation 5 (PS5), PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam) starting July 17, 2024.
“Kimetsu no Yaiba: Aim for the Strongest Squad Member!” is a sugoroku-style board game set in the world of the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.” Players compete in teams of up to four, earning “Squad Currency” to buy useful items and defeating demons to progress. The player who accumulates the most “Promotion Points” within a set number of turns wins the game.
Additionally, a free update for all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch version, will add the playable character “Kanao Tsuyuri.” Along with “Genya Shinazugawa,” these two characters will be available for play in the summer of 2024.

The TV anime “One Piece” celebrates its 25th broadcasting anniversary with the “ONE PIECE EMOTION” event, set to be held in Shinjuku, Tokyo, from August 12 to September 1. The event’s key visual and some of the exhibit details were unveiled recently. Additionally, various tickets, including limited edition figure tickets, will go on sale starting May 18.
“ONE PIECE EMOTION” is an event that allows fans to experience the world of “One Piece,” the manga series by Eiichiro Oda serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump,” focusing on the recent “Wano Country” and “Egghead” arcs, as part of the celebration of the anime’s 25th anniversary.
The exhibition will approach the charm of the TV anime “One Piece” from various angles, including art, sound, and voice, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the anime’s world.
The newly released key visual is designed around the concept of “the process of turning original drawings into animation” and “the growth of the protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy.” It has been specially drawn for the 25th-anniversary event.
The exhibit will also feature parts of the “One Piece” world, including a “Voice” experience with powerful acting, an overwhelming presentation of famous scenes in “Artwork,” and an immersive experience meeting “Dr. Vegapunk.” Additionally, a large theater featuring “Gear 5” Luffy in the “Wano Country and into the New Era” will also be part of the exhibition.
Tickets for the event will go on sale at Rakuten Tickets from 10:00 AM on May 18. Limited edition figure tickets that include exclusive “One Piece World Collectible Figures” will also be available in limited quantities.
